I've made several videos with the beta version of LumaFusion 2.3. The new multi select copy/paste is incredibly useful. They've overcome a huge number of problems and complications to make something that is comprehensive but reasonably straightforward. I'm sure the same is true of Frame io which I know nothing about!
Congratulations and big thanks to the Luma team.

A couple of tips:
- When dragging to multi-select you must capture the first frame of each clip, so start dragging to the left of the first one, not over the middle of it. This is different to drag selecting in most drawing apps.
- You can instantly apply effects to multiple clips (with some limitations) either by copy/pasting from a clip or by using the Presets button below the timeline.
- When copy/pasting pay attention to which effect types are switched on in the copy/paste pop-up eg. frame/fit, audio etc. You may not want to paste all of them. I needed to make an effort to learn the blue icons because they aren't labelled (and a bit hard to see IMHO).
- Speed cannot be copy/pasted so don't bother!
- You can’t strictly delete effects from multiple clips but you can usually copy from a reset or original clip.
- Checking and turning on/off links between clips on different tracks is helpful to avoid moving unexpected combinations.
- You can copy and paste to a new project. This can also be useful if you want to export a part of your project to process in another app.
- I've even randomised the order of clips in a project by randomly multi-selecting and dragging - a bit like shuffling cards!
- But don't try to do anything too complex. If you try moving odd combinations on multiple tracks either you or the app will get confused!

This update might not fulfil all your editing wishes but it sure will save you a lot of messing about doing things one at a time. Thanks again Luma team.

Does multi select only allow selecting adjacent clips? For example if I have 5 clips in a row and I don't want to select the middle clip (only want the 2 clips on either side), is there a way to achieve this currently?

Yes clips have to be consecutive. (To avoid complications I’m sure) The work around would be to do one side first and then the other. I’m sure you already knew this :)

Sigh I had enough trouble being Expert. Now I feel I should be able to bend spoons or something!
