Hello,

So it’s been a looooooong time since I’ve done any editing but making content for my new business means I need to get back into it and decided to use LF because my life is on an iPad Pro now.

The one thing that I can’t work out is how to make this particular split screen effect: https://screenplayed.com/scriptlibrary/ ... lace-2018

It seems like it should be simple enough - two layers, scrolling PDF of the script on the bottom third, action on the top two thirds.

But damned if I know how to approach working it out how to actually do it.

Can someone point me to any tutorials that will help me work though this problem.

Thanks for your help!

It’s sure not going to be easy. This old tutorial might help a bit:

Basically it’s put your scrolling text on another layer. Adjust the size/crop and position of clips on both layers and then use key frames to make your text scroll appropriately. Getting it to synch will probably require lots of cutting and adjusting.
I think there might be online services for this or maybe apps but I don’t know.
Maybe a way to cheat would be to publish to YouTube, then screen record it with auto captions. You could maybe edit any errors with overlaid text. They won’t scroll of course.
