Why can’t you go to the second video track click on the editor go to volume and reduce it to zero?this will only remove the sound, but the video will be available

You can effectively hide a video clip by double clicking it, going to the frame and fit tool, scrolling down to the "Blending" menu, fold that out, and drop the opacity to 0%. I do wish for a "video hide" button at the track level sometimes, too, though.
To keep the sound from a clip, though, I find it's usually best to triple-click the clip to detach its sound. If you're clever with using the Link/Unlink functionality, you can usually keep the sound where it needs to be throughout the editing process.

To hide a video clip, you can set its opacity to 0%.
Double click the clip, then within "Frame & Fit" scroll down among the options to "Blending" and then just slide the opacity slider to zero.
I'd also like to be able to set a whole video track to invisible, sometimes.
