Post subject:  Retro film ..

Dear friends. Im from Denmark. Just got LF. Ive already learned A lot. Love the app. Anyway here’s my question:

1. Quite A few free/cheap apps apply the “retro effect” to your movie if you like. Is it possible to make anything like this in LF? ... Without compressing the file the way the free apps do?

Can you post a screenshot of what you're after?

I'm assuming you've found the built in effects?

Tap your clip
Tap the briefcase
Tap Edit
Tap 'Color & Effects'
Tap the artists palette or the 3d cube
Mess around :D
Then you can save your style by clicking on the star with the + on

(you don't always see all of the controls that are available for an image - you may need to scroll down)

I think Ive pretty much checked out all the fx in LM. They're great and Im gonna use then alot. Talking retro im referring to flickering, noise, typical lightning etc. that you often see in 1920, 1930, 1940 movies etc. Have alook at this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9mhsW5aWJM Ofcourse this is highly professional in every aspect, but just the idea .. I thought you would've checked most things out already :D :D

Yeah, I see the kind of effect you mean now - that's probably one I would use too

The core program for LF is till being built and there are a long list of effects and transitions still to come too so stick around

Yes it should

And ... green screen should come with release 1.5 (although we are not quite ready for that yet)

My guess is early next year

What your asking for is currently not available in LumaFusion. Also it is not possible to import video with a transparency layer to add your own effects. AFAIK it’s coming with a update, it’s just not ready for prime time yet.

That is true. You can, though, use one of the 3 movietracks for this kind of effect (if on a transparent background) and find the best setting on opacity ..
