Great that Lumafusion now has so much audio possibilities.

But I have still a basic problem in my workflow
How can I reduce or remove the basic background noise of my audio?
I tried different mics and also the iRig with a little success but I would love to have a function like in Audacity to record a "silent" piece to generate a profile with wich you can filter the background noise.

Any idea how I can do it with Lumafusion?
Or something similar to get a similar solution?

Thx

Hello Hecklau

Currently that functionality is not available in LumaFusion.
It is on our feature request list.

Anyone else on the forum have a solution for this type of noise reduction?

A good mic does a lot of job but still I do get some hissing even with irig. It would be lovely to remove it, too. Thanks

Hello taquo

Yes, it is true, using a good microphone does help. If you have a microphone that plugs into the lighting connector, the noise floor is lowered even more.

This gives you some ideas about how to do it

Obviously it doesn't refer to LumaFusion but the principles apply to what we have available at the moment

I use Shure MV88 iOS Digital Stereo Condenser Microphone which costs about $150 on Amazon. Works real good on the voiceovers.

This plugin https://klevgrand.se/products/brusfri/ does a great job of exactly what you are asking for.

Once you can use 3rd party AUv3 in LumaFusion again, it should be just what you need.

I have added a request to "qualify" the brusfri AU filter so when we add some back in that won't be missed.
