I edit my vidoes for YouTube very simple and I was curious to the end of my video, how do I add a simple fade to black transition? It seems like I have tried everything.

Thanks in advance.

Try a cross dissolve transition at the end of your clip.

Hello TechnicallyTee

Take a look at the tutorial on our website, link is below. Placing a transition on the timeline is shown at about 4:20

I understand how to add a transition anywhere else but it seems like its not letting me just add a fade out at the end for whatever reason.

Hello TechnicallyTee

Tell me more about what is happening.

Does the transition (assuming that this is cross-dissolve) get into the timeline?
Are you finding that the cross dissolve doesn't fade to black when you play through it?
If not, what does it do?

Are you able to create a fade up from black at the start of the timeline?
Just to be sure, which version of the app are you using and which version of iOS are you using?

regards

As has already been mentioned, putting a cross dissolve at the very end of your clip with nothing after it gives a fade to black for me.

Hi
If you're still having problems try creating a jpg with the same resolution in black put that at the end of your clip and cross dissolve into it.
Hope this helps😊

@rebooter , any chance you could stop posted that massive image please? It messes up the thread view and adds nothing to the discussion.

Hello technicallyTee

Is any of this helping you, or are you doing these things and still not getting a fade at the end?
