Please bare with me on this one...I'm creating a new project, both sources of video have an aspect ratio of 16:9..One from iPhone 6 (1920 x 1080 @ 30fps) the other from Sony RX100 camera (1920 x 1080) @ 25fps Mp4 format.

When I import both videos on the timeline, the iPhone is played back at full size, taking up the whole screen size, but the Sony footage is only displayed at approx 75% of the screen size, with thick black borders on all four sides.

So what am I doing wrong..each time I include any footage from the Sony camera, I have to edit it and then choose 'Fit' in the FIT Mode I said, dose not happen with footage from the iPhone, or GoPro Hero 5..any help please.

Hello Dex3210

wow, that doesn't sound good. I've done a lot of editing with mixed source footage and never run into this issue.

What happens to the Sony clip if you have it on the timeline in a new project with nothing else? I'll guess that it is still the same.

Which version of the RX100 are you using?

Are you shooting 1080i or 1080p? There have been some issues with shooting 1080i (can't remember what they are off hand, but I believe that it is an issue with iOS and not our app, so I would recommend shooting 1080p if you aren't already)

Let me know the answers to these questions. What we will probably have you do is get you send us a sample clip to look at.
