Cannot find if this has been addressed previously.

Support at Filmic Pro says that an issue with Apple prevents bulk transfer of clips from FP library to LF project, so I am currently transferring them one at a time.

Has anyone found a way to do a bulk transfer? No one on Filmic Pro forums has figured it out yet.

Thank you

Hi Jim

Welcome to the forum

I use Filmic too and have to do them one at a time for the reason you gave :(

I'll check into whether there is a better way.

Yes, it’s true if you use Open-In from one app to another. The best work around it to turn n Save to Camera Roll in Filmic so all recordings are in Photos and ready to use in LF.

Thanks for this solution, however, I understand there's a compression when saving FiLMiC clips to the camera roll. Is this the case? Because it definitely is a bit of a pain to import clips one by one, especially if there are a lot of clips. I just got Lumafusion today and I recorded about 45 clips using FiLMiC (4K, 30fps, Extreme) and it took me about 20 minutes to just import my clips. Open FiLMiC. Tap the video preview button. Tap the video I want to import. Tap the share button. Slide over to LumaFusion. Tap it. Wait a few seconds. Rinse. Repeat. Not a great first impression! Seems like bulk import should be a basic function. But still - the rest looks amazing. Can't wait to play with it when I'm more awake tomorrow!

I have an email into Filmic Pro’s support folks about frame rate issues, but also asked if Filmic Pro is going to access iOS11’s Files App, which, if LumaFusion also accesses the Files App, may very well streamline this issue. I haven’t tried it yet, but can LumaFusion access the Files App?

Hello all

Yes, we will be supporting the Files app. It would make life very convenient if Filmic did the same thing

Files app only works with cloud storage, correct?

I shoot with an 8+ with Filmic Pro and edit with LumaFusion on iPad Pro 10.5. I do not need immediate access on the iPad. I’m trying to zero in on a workflow. I don’t use any third party cloud stuff.

I read the caution from a not so current Filmic user manual about not saving to Camera Roll because of compression. Not sure if that’s still an issue or not. So I just save to FP’s Library. To get it to the iPad: I’ve tried airdrop, which seems to work well and fast. But it puts the video in Photos on the iPad. I noticed NO reduction in file size, so maybe I should just access it in LF from there. The alternative would be to Share it from Photos to Files and access in LF from there, but why bother?

So what do you think? There does not appear to be additional compression and the Filmic file name is intact. If I save to Camera Roll in FP, I’d have to wait for the upload to ICloud Photo Library from the iPhone before I could access on iPad.

Kinda long-winded, I know, but interested in comments...
