I’ve searched this forum but haven’t seen a workaround yet for making a precision cut.
During one clip the speaker has a noticeable “um” moment that I am trying to cut from the clip. This moment has obviously overlapped two frames.
I can see on the audio track where the start and stop occurs but am unable to cut exactly at those points. The track is fully expanded and the start of the “um” is part way through one track (30fps) and I can’t get the cut at that precise moment. The snap-to takes me to the beginning or end of the frame.
Is there a way of turning off snap-to? Or overriding snap-to for that cut only?
The audio is linked to the video to keep everything in sync so I would have to be able to do this on both the audio and video tracks.
Tia, dan

No I don’t think you can go mid frame and normally at say 1/30th of a second it wouldn’t matter. Maybe it’s a very loud um though :D
The simple answer is probably to put a fade transition on the start of the audio clip then trim it back as far as possible. This will probably solve the problem.

Thanks Mark. I’ll give the fade out a go and see if that will work in this case. I got most of the miscue out but there is still an audible sound that makes it sound like a stutter. Fingers crossed on the fade out but it will have to be very short
