I am making a video tutorial about password management... and I want to redact a password...

Is there an easy way to draw a black box or blur box in Luma?

You can use a Title and add a shape/colour to it

You can position the shape where you want it

Thank you for this Dave.

I hope future versions make placing a simple rectangle easier to apply.

You can also duplicate the clip and place the new clip on top of the original clip. Then blur the top clip and use the crop tools to cut the blur section down to the redacted area. You can also use keyframes to adjust the cropped areas if there is movement. I used this to blur out several things. I think it looks much better that a color block.
