I hopefully they will add these features in the future and make more better and better. :D

Agreed -- captions, especially the ability to import .srt files would be amazing, so it's great to hear captions are on the list!

Just FYI, unless I'm misunderstanding the second part of your request, LumaFusion already allows you to put text on a colored background. I use this functionality for most titles in my projects and even create captions for Instagram stories by creating an overlay title, then adding a shape (with whichever color I choose) to sit behind the text box. You can dial down the opacity a bit as well, so it doesn't completely block out a stripe of your video.

To do this:
  • Create an overlay title and double-tap the title.
  • Once the editor window opens, click the + icon in the tools menu to add a new layer, and tap the "Shape" icon (the one in the middle).
  • Use the settings menu for the new Shape layer to change the face color, add a border/edge color (if desired), etc.
  • Drag the Shape layer above the title layer so it shows up behind your text in the preview window.
