Might help if you delete all the files in the Deleted folder of the Files app and photos in the deleted folder of the Photos app. These don’t show as using memory in the Settings app but they do.
Also perhaps make sure your source clips are on device, not off loaded to iCloud?
Thanks. Already took those steps and never use the cloud. Seems to behaving better after another reboot, hopefully it will be more responsive going forward.

I finally solved the problem!
Until now I have been opening videos and photos using the Photos source. After doing so, LumaFusion would lock up for up to a minute or two, and continue to do so throughout the editing session. Super frustrating!

On my most recent project I used this workflow:
1. Import video and still photos to Photos app using SD card reader (camera adapter). I do this as I want the photos for other purposes as well.
2. In the Photos app, select all the desired videos and photos.
3. Tap the Share Sheet icon and tap “Share to LumaFusion.”
4. Open LumaFusion and look in Sources, Imported, Shared for the media.

These steps have completely ended the lockups and life is good again.
