Post subject:  Audio not respecting my settings.

Hi,

Cut together some clips but it seems like the audio is not respecting my settings.
I put the entire track on mute, lowered the track levels to 0, and the audio still plays. If I drag the master to 0 the audio still plays, but only from the right side speaker of my ipad pro with ipadOS. Am I missing something here?

Can you post a screen grab of your timeline?

I even made a new project and added a single clip for this example. Audio still playing.
I know I can seperate the audio and completely delete it, but I have like 50 small clips, so I’d rather not do that.

Thanks for the quick reply

Mmmm ... I thought that's what I'd see (what you described)

I can't reproduce it ... but I'm not saying it's not happening

What version of LF and IOS?

What happens if you 'Consolidate and Optimise' the test project?

Where are the clips from?

EDIT: I see where the clips are from in the screen grab

Does it only happen with clips from that source?

The source is a mp4 file I had, coming from a usb drive through icloud drive.
I just now added another clip in front of it, shot from my iphone, that clip does respect the audio settings.
So even though they are on the same layer with the same audio settings, the first clip is silent and the second not.

Did you try 'Consolidate and Optimise'?

Sounds like there's something not quite 100% with the clip (apple compatible) but I've got to admit it's a weird one

Yes, tried that now and it worked. It is however not an option for me since my actual edit, all clips with the same problem, are about 30 clips with about 3 gb in size each. Optimizing and consolidating that will take days. And more room than I have on my ipad.
I guess I’ll have to stick with manually delete the audio.

Thanks anyways for the help!

Could you post a link to a clip in a PM to me?

I'd like to see if I can reproduce it here
