Resolve has the ability to import XML from Final Cut. I would hope that an export from LumaFusion to Final Cut would be in a format comparable to that exported from Final Cut (bi-directional). It will be interesting to see if it 'just works'... |

Since I asked just over a year ago... I just purchased the XML export feature for Luma Fusion on a 'risk' basis and tried it with DaVinci Resolve 17b6 and it works quite well, actually. I only tested it with straight cuts and a few default transitions - I didn't try any color grading or other effects in Luma Fusion other than speed (the clips in Luma Fusion were shot at 120 fps and slowed down to 25% and this actually came through to Resolve). I'll continue to do a few tests and report in a separate thread. As it stands and with likely limitations, it's useful for me. Cheers |
