LumaFusion 2.0 is now available in the App Store. This is a massive new update that doubles the number of tracks for video and audio, streamlines the user interface, and much more.

Hi folks,

I'm debating between subbing to either Storyblocks or Epidemic Sound. Storyblocks' big advantage, from my perspective, is the integration with Lumafusion - which is awesome. The problem is I've seen things online that make me concerned about using Storyblocks - that it will result in lots of copywrite claims/strikes. I have never had one and don't want to start anytime soon :) Epidemic, from what I can tell, is much less prone to those sorts of claims.

For those of you using Storyblocks in the creation of your YouTube vids, how has your experience been?

Regards,

Jarrett

I've used StoryBlocks since it was first integrated into LF without problems

I've never had one, but if you do get a copyright notification just let the LF developers know

I can’t comment on the copyright thing as I’ve never posted a video on YouTube, but I’m very glad I subscribed to Storyblocks, just having access right there is fantastic, plus, I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of good music for that price.

Yep, the content and setup itself looks great - but copywrite strikes would be very problematic.

Integration with Luma is a limitation of Storyblocks, not an advantage as far as I can tell. I dropped $350 on a Storyblocks subscription and guess what... it doesn’t work with Luma because Luma needs its own separate subscription. If you use the integration then you are only limiting yourself by not being able to use Storyblocks in any other way, including through their website. It’s a rip off gimmick.

Not sure about copyright strikes and such, but what I’m sure of is that the Storyblocks integration option is 100% wack.

Storyblocks or LumaFusion?

If you've already got a subscription and can therefore download story blocks content to import, why would you need another subscription for the same content?

I agree. It is very difficult to search for certain moods, for songs that are similar to other songs, similar to other artists, etc. Much better to just subscribe online. Now if I can figure out how to get the downloaded songs fro the web into my LF projects.

Just import them

I saved my favourite clips to my NAS and import them when I need them
