Hey Bill, but isn’t that still filling up your iPad?

After my project is done I save everything to external drives and cleanup. My biggest project had about 180GB of raw video and my ipad is 256GB. Most projects are around 40-50 GB. So no issues yet.

Hey Mark, when you say “archive” does that mean you are archiving a finished project or can you actually archive an unfinished project to come back to later?
Re iCloud - I don’t use it but I will start again and purchase more gigs.
I should have said I was answering Toxotis70’s question about transferring raw clips from iPhone to iPad for editing. The archive is just a zip file to bundle them together for Airdropping. Zipping a video doesn’t compress it. iCloud works for me but I delete anything that might be clutter. If I was a hoarder I’d use external storage and have an ocean of old raw footage. Future historians are going to be disappointed digging through my files. :D

I've got tons and tons of old raw footage on external drives

But as my friend said the other day - who is going to look at it?
