LumaFusion 2.0 is now available in the App Store. This is a massive new update that doubles the number of tracks for video and audio, streamlines the user interface, and much more.

I recently used one of the music tracks called ”A Little Something” from the Storyblocks free music library in one of my videos and uploaded it on Youtube. However, the track was flagged as copyright protected, originally called as ”Presque Rien (Hardly Anything)” by Alan Marchand. The copyright holder was marked as ”AdShare MG for a Third Party”. You can find the exact same track from Spotify:
https://open.spotify.com/track/42Hyp1Mc ... 2uSHLLVVJg

Now why would Storyblocks need to change the name of the song and not give the credits for the original creator, and what’s the situation when using tracks like this on published videos?

From a previous post by a Terri:

Hi All,

This will actually happen with a lot of Stock Libraries. It is the downside of using automated detection. It isn’t perfect.

The good news is that we have the ear of Storyblocks and they are providing us with an easy process for working with YouTube and getting warnings and messages about monitization removed quickly.

If this happens to you, simply send the following for the video that has been flagged to support@luma-touch.com and we will have Stroyblocks handle it.

1. Link to YouTube Video
2. Link to or name of Storyblocks track used
3. Name of claimant

One reason this happens (and this is probably not the only reason) is that musicians sometimes use sample libraries to create music. If a musician claims a copyright on some music in which they used a sample library to create then everyone else who used the sample will suffer. The musicians should not be copyrighting music that is made with samples, and in a perfect world all music would be created without Libraries but that is simply not the case and it is why we can now get music for relatively inexpensive.

I would caution over-reacting to these messages. They will happen, and they can also be cleared easily.
