LumaFusion 1.7 is now available in the App Store. This update includes great new features like search and sort in the library, soft edges and curved corners in cropping, and our new integration with Storyblocks, a great royalty-free library of video, audio and sound effects. A sample of clips are included free, with a low-cost subscription available in-app for access to the full library

Hi to all the Forum.I’m a new subscriber to it. I’m using LumaFusion from a couple of years. But I recently bought an iPad Pro 12.9 2018...and..uau...it’s dynamite 😄. I’m editing like a beast 😁.
I’m thinking to a crazy idea. Use an Atomos recorder with my little M50 and get ProRes footage. Then convert it with an iMac/PC in the highest quality h.265 or h.264 format that LumaFusion can handle (some footage will be 4K but for the major part 1080P 24fps). Then use LumaFusion to edit and export
in the same format.
I need help to understand if the final results could be great or this crazy idea is just a waste of money.
And also to know which are the highest bitrates that LumaFusion can handle.

Tanks

Andrea

Maybe is not a so bad idea.
First, editing in Lumafusion is faster then the other NLE programs.
Second you have just one conversion. As usual. If you use the standard workflow you convert HDMI to prores in the Atomos, then you edit in FCPX and convert at the end in h265 or h264. But you have one conversion also if you convert the clips in H264/h265 before editing and then you export from Lumafusion without changing h264/h265 format.
Ok I know, in the future maybe iOS will support Prores...till then a monitor-recorder I think can be usefull also for Lumafusion.
It’s just my opinion.
