Hello, I shot footage with my GoPro 6 and GoPro gimball. I work with LumaFusion on my new iPad Pro 10.5. The settings on the GoPro: 1080p and 60 fps. When I play the footage on my iPad I have smooth images. After editing with LumaFusion in fast motion 110 or 125 the footage becomes step framed.

Can someone help me please?

Gr. Jeffrey

Use a multiple of 60 fps

Ie 30, 120, 180 for a smoother effect

It was just a 0.5 multiple of 60 so would be smooth if you combined it with other 30 fps video and wanted a smaller file size

Jeffrey, I think you're saying that you set the speed slider to 1.10X and 1.25X. In other words, 10% and 25% faster, respectively. Is this correct?

Dave, If that is the case, does that affect your answer?

Hi Dave,

So when you say “30, 120, 180 for a smoother effect”, are you talking about setting the speed slider to 0.30X, 1.20X & 1.80X?

No I’m saying use a figure that results in an even multiple

So if the original clip is 25 FPS then 1.5 = 37.5 which is not an even number of frames

Whereas 25fps at 2x = 50 FPS which is even and therefore smoother

I'm sorry Dave. I'm just not getting it. I also have a clip that I shot with my iPad Pro at 1080p 60 FPS and I want to speed up the action. So I went into the speed editor and increased the speed to 1.25X.

Now where do I do this even multiple thing? I understand that 120 FPS or 180 FPS are even multiples of 60 FPS. I just don’t know where to make this change.

Thanks for the help on this. I obviously have a lot to learn about speed change issues.

Thank you. I'm new here so I don't understand. If I shoot 60 fps and add 10 or 20% speed should images than not still be smooth? Like when I choose slow motion it keeps smooth?
