Got an answer

... We will get that fixed in the 1.7 version - users will be able to delete media imported from and WD and GNARBOX.

When I import a clip into a project from the WD, then in a new project, try to import another clip *with the same file name*, it will show the cached version that was imported previously. Not the new file that was backed up from the card onto the WD. We have multiple cameras and they generate files with the same file names.

I figured out the problem. When a clip gets imported it goes into the LibraryMedia > WDWireless folder. If the video file on the WD Drive has the same file name as a clip that is already in the iPad WDWireless library folder, it will not import the new clip and the old cached clip is previewed or gets imported into your project.

My workaround is to delete all the files in the folder using the files app, import the clips into my project, then export the project to a project archive. I can then delete the original project. When I open the archive the clips are now in their own folder. This is such a hassle.

Im bringing this topic back to the top for a wireless pro SSD vs HDD question:

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the SSD version and HDD version when it comes to viewing clips when editing in lumafusion? For example, I would expect the SSD to start clips nearly instantly when looking through footage in lumafusion, while the HDD could have a 1-2 second delay on the HDD.

Have anyone tried both the SSD and HDD version?

(I'm not asking about downloading chosen clips, as the wireless connection probably is the bottleneck)

I have the HDD version

You are right, it's not the fastest and I too would expect the SSD to be quicker
