LumaFusion 1.7 is now available in the App Store. This update includes great new features like search and sort in the library, soft edges and curved corners in cropping, and our new integration with Storyblocks, a great royalty-free library of video, audio and sound effects. A sample of clips are included free, with a low-cost subscription available in-app for access to the full library

MyAmazingDiscoveries - I will do some more digging around
That would be most excellent. I really think this would be of tremendous value here. For me, file management is the one roadblock to having iOS eliminate the need to edit vidz the ol'-fashioned way.

If someone invented a wireless file-server solution that hooked into their ISP's router, they would probably hit it big. Anyone frustrated with storing their iPhone's pics, vids, etc. would probably flock to a simple solution.

Sure, we can use cloud storage - but I do not trust it much. And I suspect many others do not, either.

Those test results are interesting Dave, if i have read correctly over wi fi it works out at about 1 gig upload per minute at your end on the my cloud WD 2 TB model.

I post some images in a moment of areas I like to have implemented which would help in my view to using an external drive.

As the other person says if a work around was made people would coming flocking to make use of the IOS, as this is a place where it all falls down.

If it helps I use file browser to interface to find some images and audio, the WD my cloud lacks RAW format previews and other formats.

So to navigate to a file and preview before dragging across to the ipad not available at the moment.

The WD my cloud appears more of a play a movie to a TV set, i have seen some other peoples interface with the WD mycloud on PC and Android and they have many more option, example just to play music, the IOS side has either restrictions or the developers did not implement these.

Regards Rob

Here are some screen grabs examples.
The music from youtube free when you have an account.

Now in a desktop enviroment you can play them and listen to preview on line before you download.

While in the IOS side you can listen only and not down load, I got around this by using a laptop and placing all these audio tracks on a My cloud WD.

When navigating to the file of choice I can see them but not listen. When in LumaFusion - So it is nessasery to go first in the WD app to the file listen

Rob, I don't use the WD MYCloud app

I will load it up and see if I can find where the file goes

I wonder if you can use 'Open In' ?

iOS' Files program is not the best for us...

At $4.99, this File Manager Pro is just awesome - highly recommended:
https://itunes.apple.com/app/id558270538?mt=8

Here is one example I just used last week (involving Luma)...

We took a family trip to Orlando via plane (without Wifi). So I went to Luma's YouTube Tutorial's channel here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X6g5Fy ... T19jWZplPZ

And used PwnYouTube's bookmarklet to quickly download each vid to my MacBook Pro:
http://deturl.com

I moved all of the videos into a new folder named: Luma

Then I control+clicked the Luma folder to bring up Share->AirDrop. I selected each iPhone and bam - transfer is done in about 90 seconds. On the iPhone, I choose "File Manager" and it stores in the Local Files section. (By the way, the transfer is much faster on my iPad Pro 12.9.)

On the iPhone, I opened File Manager Pro and boom - the Luma folder had all 37 tutorials. Click on any of the videos and bam - it plays on the spot.

To copy any file into Luma with File Manager Pro, select the [Edit] button (in the top right-hand corner), select a file, then choose the [Open in] option (bottom of the screen). The files will be saved in the filemanagerpro section of "imported".

At this point, we can use the Files app to create new subfolders, rename, delete, etc.

Hi Dave

Do you refer to an app maybe ? "Open in"

Or open file in an app maybe ?

Yes if you would have a look at WD app and let me know how you get on please.

I make a video to show you also as this might untangle some mysteries by showing all the visual side of what I am trying to do and the slowness of transferring files.

Question to "MyAmazingDiscoveries"

If you had say 4 TB of stock images and video and audio on an external wi fi drive, how would you say see PSD, RAW in say "File Browers app" ?

As all I can see is no PSD, RAW are not displayed until I click on the image and it loads a 24 mb's RAW file takes about 30 seconds.

This takes forever to find any files within a folder.

Can you do an experiment for me please.

iPad Pro use "FB" I refer to this as FB (which is File browser)

Using a wi fi drive transfer a lump file of 1 gig to the said wi fi drive on LAN (local area network)

I like the time it takes please.

Then bring this file back and record the time as well please.

Regards Rob
