Hi everyone.
I'm a new happy user of Lumafusion.
I'd like to make a Zoom Transition li After Effect do.
I think is simple to add in the effect inside LumaFusion.
Look at this video

He use Cute CUT Pro (I don't like it at all), and other software Video FX Live to make e mirroring effect starting at 1:15 (not like Luma do... I think).
The point is add this effect sowed in the second software to LumaFusion to make the Zoom Transition like After Effect do.
I try to search any tutorial, but I didn't find anyhing about it.
Sorry if I spoke of other APP... But LumaFusion is thousend times better any other videoediting app on the market. Add this feature is simple and very nice.
Hope you can help me.

Thanks a lot.

Hello EvilDice

Welcome to the forum - yeah it's ok to mention other apps :D :D

Drag a clip to the timeline
Tap the clip if it isn't already selected
Tap the briefcase (it will turn blue)
Tap Edit
Using the jog wheel scroll a few seconds into the clip
Add a keyframe by tapping the circles with the x - you will get a blue dot appear below your clip
Use the jog wheel to scroll further into your clip
Pinch the clip to zoom in or out a bit

etc

What you've done there is add keyframes to actions - you can use keyframes for many other things

Is that what you were trying to do?

Let us know how you get on

Hi Dave,

thanks for your answer.
I already know the use of Keyframe and the Zoom.
May be I didn't explain well myself.
I want to make a tansition between 2 clip making a Custom Transition using a Zoom-in Technic used in After Affect.
To be more specific, I want to have in the second clip, a zoom-out frame in the first keyframe, and after few frame (about 5 or 10) restore the frame to the normal dimension using the second frame.
The problem is about the fist keyframe has the dimension of original clip too small arounded by black edge.
The tecnich take from After Effect is crate e mirror clip on all the side of the original frame and other 4 on the corner.
In that way we can cover all the keyframe letting in to the center the zoomed-out clip.
It's very difficult to explain. My english is not good. I'm Italian.
Try to explain with image.
This is the second clip where I want to make the Zoom Effect, not like the effect used in LumaFusion.
As you can see the clip is more small of the frame

To fill the black part we can use e Mirrors edge effect like this

After that if you put the effected clip to the first Keyframe, and set after 5 o 10 frame the scend Keyframe zooming the clip, you can obtain very good tool to complete the Zoom transition.
Hope I explained myself.

Hi EvilDice

Your English wasn't the problem (it's much better than my Italian :) )

I hadn't grasped what you were trying to do

I'm sure there's a way to do it ... but I will have to give it a lot of thought

However, I'm sure some of the other guys (and girls) on here will have an answer before me

Hi Dave,
I found other App called videostar(a weird app for video editing for singer) and appliing a effect called "Mirror House" and the sub-effect "reflex", I can get my goal.
Than I can insert the modified clip in the timeline of LumaFusion in this way:
1. 5 frames before the end of the clip i put a keyframe.
2. At the end I put other keyframe and apply the zoom
3. Like point 1 and 2, I apply the "Long zoom" effect at the same Keyframes.
4. Now I pass to the modified clip with mirror effect, and put in the time line.
5. Put a keyframe
6. Than I go to the 5th frame and I put other keyframe and zoom the window to the center of the image where the refection objects are outside of the frame window. Now you see the video like normar video
7. Now apply the "long zoom" effect to the first key frame, and to the 5th frame, put the effect to 0
8. From the timeline, select the modified clip and divied the clip to the 5th frame with the scissors
9. Now import the original videoclip and cut away the firsts 5 frames of the clip.
And that's it.
You have quite the same zoom effect builded in Adobe After Effect.

Hi EvilDice

Thanks for the response and your workflow

I don't think it's an effect I will ever need but the detailed description will be useful if I do!
