Hey,

A few thoughts:

LIVE PHOTOS
I would love support for live photos. In reality they are small full HD 30fps .mov files and a jpeg. But when importing we only get the jpeg. Apps like Quick allow you to imort the live photo as a movie instead which is amazing when cutting things like a holiday trip.

PHOTOS APP IMPORT
Not sure this is the intended behavior. When browsing the photo galleries inside the app and selecting a photo, it is added to the timeline but does not show up as “imported”. (Which is good).
But if I use split screen on the ipad and drag a photo from the same photos app into Lumafusion it will instead import it as “imported”.

Sometimes it is just easier to browse and drag-n-drop via the photos app since it is more detailed then Lumafusions gallery window. Preferably both methods should just add the clip and not import it. No reason to store the same clip in multiple locations on iCloud. And would make backup easier if it reads from the photos app rather than the imported location. Thanks!

Yes please. I use Live Photos all the time because they are so spontaneous to create. I’d use Quik too for fast summary video when traveling. LF is great if you have the time but because there’s no automation it just takes too long doing everything manually. It is best just for enthusiasts which is a pity. Ideally I’d like some auto creation to use as a stating point.

One app I’ve found useful surprisingly is 1SE (1sec everyday - a video diary). Although not intended for this purpose you can quickly create video compilations from video/stills/live photos with all clips cut to 1 or 1.5 sec. Great to share without boring friends/family . If LF had an option to trim all clips to x seconds I’d love it.
