Hi,

New user here. Loving the app! Just wondering if there is any White Balance feature via an Eye Dropper like in Premiere Pro/FCPX?

If not, is this on the roadmap for a future update? Color correcting is great in the app but sometimes I just want to do a quick white balance with efficiency.

Thank you!

B

Hi bryanjrlim

Yes there is (but only on a 'per clip' basis at the moment)

Tap your clip
Tap edit
Tap Color & Effects (bottom rh side)
Tap Original
(I'm doing this on my phone)
Tap the > in the blue bar next to Original
Scroll down to the bottom
You will see 'Tint' and the eyedropper
Tap and hold the eyedropper and drag it onto the preview window

Hello all

The Tint color picker isn't really a white balance correction tool. It actually only adds a tint of your choice to the picture.

We do have a white balance color picker as a feature request and hope to have that implemented in the future.

Thanks for the clarification Androu. Any rough estimate for implementation of that feature in a future update? weeks? months?

This would be a very welcome addition, especially when dealing with indoor footage.

Ok boys (and girls) - help the 'Grand Master' (ha ha ha)

What's the difference between a 'tint' and a 'white balance'

(see, you thought I knew everything   :D )

Dave, white balance issues happen because the camera is not accurately reading/accounting for the current colour temperature of lighting in the scene e.g. indoors under a warm light. This means the whole image can have too cool a look or too warm. What selecting the correct white balance will do is remove this colour tint and bring all the colours in the scene back to their normal value. Essentially the opposite of what you proposed - you are removing a tint instead of adding one.
