Hi, LumaFolks--
Just a quick note to reiterate my appreciation for this amazing app. I do various levels of professional video production, and one thing I do that I really enjoy is capture live theatrical solo performances--one person on stage telling stories. For a while I've used a device called a Mevo, which has some cool features (live capture switched from wide to close, pan-and-scan, all from a single device controlled remotely by an iPad, iPhone, or android device). It's always been a deeply flawed device (very poor low-light performance, funky audio issues, etc), but it worked for these shows because it allowed me to give the client their "switched" show the same night. Alas, my Mevo died last night, most ignominiously, eating all the data that had been on its card. Disaster.
Fortunately, I had my iPhone 8+ with me, so I quickly set up in the theatre and captured the remainder of the evening. Since I have Luma Fusion installed on the phone, I was also able to pretty quickly edit the performances with the same kind of wide-to-close, pan-and-scan look, right on my phone, without having to go to the office and load the footage into Premiere Pro. I was also able to sweeten the sound with the new built-in AU filters, which is very useful when working with less-than-optimal audio. Rendering was crazy fast to be going from the original 4K iPhone video to a 1080P output file, and frankly it looked stunning. Still a lot more time for me, but worth it to get the clients what they paid me to capture.
Thanks, LumaFolk for this incredibly useful, powerful app!
