As per the title, is it possible to make keyframe indicators translucent or move the frame counter? As you can see in the following screenshots, the frame counter can be completely concealed or hard to read depending on where you have placed keyframes. Even when further along the timeline when the indicators are at their smallest, some digits can be hard to discern.

Well spotted donka +1 for that suggestion

Hi donka, Dave,
When we edit a complex composition with a lot of short episodes, situations with a lot of key frames are inevitable and prevail. One short line with their linear placement is not enough. Therefore, this problem should be considered in two stages:

1) What temporary solutions will help to facilitate work in such conditions.
As a temporary solution - the level of points can be raised above the figures and not making the point large.

2) How it is necessary to rebuild and supplement the editor of key frames so that the actions are convenient.
This bicycle has long been invented.
Just look at the Scene Editor in LightWave or  Graph Editor Modo.
I'm not saying that developers need to do this in the same complex way, but the basic idea is how to visually and conveniently work with data matrices there is enough. Considering that in the end we are striving for a more complex system of key frames in layers. And in this context patches can only be temporary.

Hello everyone

Or we could just make the keyframe markers more translucent

I will add it to our list

Yup, that was my suggestion and I think it makes more sense.

Great to see this updated in the latest beta. The only thing I would suggest is the keyframe indicators close to the playhead are opaque but this presents a problem when the playhead is close to the timeframe indicator as you can't see the exact frame. You need to place it then move the playhead a little so the keyframe indicator goes translucent to see the frame counter and confirm you are on the intended frame. It would be good if the markers around the playhead still had some level of translucency or if it only impacted markers above the frame counter.
Does this make sense?

Hello donka

yes, it does make sense, and I have already updated the feature request to consider this problem. It may well be that we will shift the location of the time stamp with relation to the keyframes so that one doesn't obscure the other
