Hello Luma guys and girls, i like to have some thing like this please.

All my video and image files are currently on big TB drives which i like to see them appear in the import drop down, currently in LumaFusion I think it has drop box, one drive as an external source, if i have a Weston Digital cloud say and connected by home wifi it be great if I went to the drop down import funcation and select these drives and said are yes theirs that clip and import over home wifi.

Regards Rob

Hi Rob,

Over time, we "grow" a large number of various narrow-functional devices, each requires care and attention, interfering with living and creating. Sometimes this is a forced action, because there is no alternative. But in other cases I try to minimize the number of such things.

If you buy and set up a network storage, such as Synology NAS, through your home router, you will get your own "cloud storage" that will be available to all your gadgets wherever there is a Wi-Fi and at home and remotely on the road.

This class of devices works not only as a storage, but has many other useful functions, allowing the owner to have his own website and not pay to hosting.
Do not "rest" on the low speed of free cloud storage, use the Apple cloud only as a temporary buffer for current projects, without overpaying for expanding the tariff plan, watch DLNA movies, listen to your music collection, store your works, download any files to NAS and managing the process of downloading from iOS or Android remotely ...

The manufacturer has a demonstration logon to Storage management:

Just heard this from development: We will be supporting WD network drives soon and will add SMB in the future.

Nice. SMB is a great way to access shares connected to computers on the local network.

For all the Synology people, SMB should work for us - it works fine with some apps I use already
