Is there a way to perform a ripple delete in LF? This is a delete which removes the clip and the time line shifts to close the gap.

Hello C47

yes, the main video track behaves this way by default (insert mode). It can be switched 'off' (overwrite mode). Clips on other tracks are generally automatically linked to clips on the main track, so that they will move as well. It's very similar to FCPX

Yes, I should have specified that I was cutting an audio-only narration bed.

It would be nice to have ripple delete and remove gap in the audio tracks.

Hello C47

Thanks for the clarification

yes, that would be a good idea, something for us to think about.

Will add it to our feature requests

Any progress with this? Also editing narration and sorely missing a ripple delete feature!

I second that. This is one feature that will save me so much time and make the editing way more efficient! I really hope you guys add that feature in.
