Recently noticed that mastered audio is compressed to the point of distortion in LumaFusion,

Why has this not been addressed? I think it’s very risky to let this bug fester.

Hello realdavidai

I agree with knobbydave, I'm not hearing that either. Would you provide more detail on what you are doing and what you are hearing.

We don't do anything to the Royalty Free music clips, they are what we are given by the composers. Are you referring to them?

Also let me know which version of iOS you are using

I’m on version 1.3.6 on iPad Pro

I’m not the only one experiencing this, another user chimed in on the same issue in this thread
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/1986 ... ning-water

The audio I used was a file mastered outside of LumaFusion

Here’s the original audio I uploaded via another video app

And here’s a promo I made with LumaFusion (it’s much louder/saturated/compressed)

We are currently reworking the audio pipeline for 1.4. It should resolve the volume increase that you're seeing.
As for compression, for normal AAC compression we use a bitrate of 4x the sample rate (so 176kbps for 44.1KHz audio and 192kbps for 48KHz).

If possible, could you try 1) reduce the audio level for the music track by a about 6 to 9 db, then export Audio Only and export both as WAV and M4A and let us know if there is a noticeable difference for you. If so, we can look at increasing the bitrate for 1.4 and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

It will be great if in the processing of sound you consider this trend in mastering:

Thank you!
