Hi all, I'll start this forum off with a simple hint.

When you add an Edge Works Effect (Lithograph, Edge Work, Pop Art, Abstract in Styles), your video will be converted to black-and-white. You can colorize the black-and-white result by adding the False Color (in Styles) and selecting different colors for light and dark portions of the video.

Chris - Couldn't you skip the Edge Works effect and go right to False Color - even with a full color source clip?

Yes, you can. But there are some effects that are completely black and white (like Edgeworks or Dots), and this allows you to colorize the black and white effect since you can apply it after the black and white effect.

Chris and Terri -

I think we've lost the False Color effect in LumaFX. The closest effect is Christmas - and then adjust the settings. That's the only way I know to activate Dark Tint and Light Tint, although there may be other ways.

(There's another post somewhere called Using False Color effectively.)
