Hi,

Last day I wanted to connect to my network hard disk in PC with Lumafusion for importing videos from this source.
Route : Import/Sources/Wireless Net Units/ my PC but appeared this message " Error reading information on service SMB " and it could'nt connect.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Tks

Thanks knobbydave.

I have Synology NAS and it haven't any trouble with the connection.
The problem is the connection between Lumafusion(Ipad Pro) and my HD network in my PC.

Kind regards

VCC

I was wondering what your HD Network settings were, that was why I sent it

Are you connecting as a guest or admin? What permissions are set on your HD Network

(When I had a PC I never had any luck with hardly anything connecting to it - but Synology, like yours is fine)

I think that the issue is in the Windows 10 settings network(SMB1....) , not in HD.

What do you think?

Tks

I think I agree with you

I spent a lot of time messing around with windows trying to do what you want and never succeeded - but that's not to say it's impossible

I have to say I'm surprised now they are up to Windows 10 ... no I'm not, nothing surprises me anymore :D

The key to successful connection to a shared resource on Windows is to create a Windows user whose login and password are used when connecting from other devices. This account must be assigned in the properties of a shared resource.
But there is not enough to create a user. It is necessary to log in to it, so that the system creates all the resources of this user.
