OK, I was doing some testing with a new project. I can delete transitions fine off the first video track. It is only on the second and third video track that they seem to join the preceding and following clips into a single unit.

The context is that I have an interview track and I’m adding b-roll over it with transitions between some of the b-roll clips.

Tell me if you can delete transitions on the second or third video tracks.

Ok, I could spin some story about how I’m a ‘Grand Master’ and know everything ... but I won’t

I’ve just tried it for tracks 2 & 3 and I can’t delete them!

I can change them! But not delete them!

I’m on version 1.5.5.640 (beta) - I’ve sent a message to the developers. There may be a delay before we hear back because of the show they are doing in Vegas

Thanks for your help with this

Hi all,

It's likely that you're dragging the transition to try and delete it, but when you drag that transition it does drag any connected clips. However, you can select the transition, then tap on the trash icon to the left of the timeline to delete it without deleting the other clips.

Ah - thanks Chris

I was just trying to drag the transition off the timeline!  :D

I'd never even seen the trash bin on the left! (old tired eyes or too much JD)

The trash can delete of transitions works perfectly. I’d never noticed that before either. Thanks. I was really quite stuck. I figured it was something easy.

Should we be able to drag transitions off the timeline on these tracks?

Ha ha - we both learnt something there!

I think it would be good to be able to drag them off the timeline like you can for track 1
