Post subject:  Available Storage Bug? Luma showing WAY less than iOS

I’m usin the most recent LumaFusion on my iPad Pro 12.9 (2015) on iOS 11.1 and I keep having space issues when I attempt to export. iOS shows I have over 50GB of space remaining, yet Luma shows iPad storage is full? I absolutely LOVE this app and hope this issue can be resolved. Any ideas?

Hi BigDWiz,

I notice mine is showing 50GB less than I actually have as well (LumaFusion shows 256GB available and Settings show 318GB) - so it looks like when you get down to about 50GB then it starts warning when it shouldn't.

I don't think this warning will stop you from exporting successfully - if I remember right it is just a helper message. If you try the export, does it work anyway?

I'm going to write a bug and find out a little more.

No, it will actually attempt to export the video, but then give me an error there is not enough space. I can get a screen shot if needed

I’m choosing save to camera roll, where I have over 50GB of available space

I just spoke to Chris regarding this issue. He says that message may/or may not point to the problem. He said it could also be shown when there is a general writing failure (he is going to change that).

What he suggested is that I get your project so we can test it out, and also in the process I can export a file for you and put it in a shared folder for you to pick up.

If you email me at support@luma-touch.com then I can send you instructions.

Terri, I've already exported the current project I'm working on, so it's not a show stopper for me right now.

It does not seem to be related to a particular project though as I have 4 current projects and they all show the limited storage remaining and need to clear up storage before exporting. I just removed one project and I think I can clear up enough space to finish my next video.

Just let me know if there's anything you need from me to assist in a resolution. If it's one of my projects, I'll be happy to share, just let me know. Thanks again!

I just noticed I posted this in the LumaFX section, meant to post in LumaFusion. Oops! Please move the thread when you get a chance. Also, let me know if there's any other diagnostic info I can provide for what appears to be this "50GB" free issue.
